I use Google Sites along with customized graphics to develop websites for various associations. They can be linked to relatively inexpensive domain names to provide a FREE, easily navigated platform for communication and file distribution.

One of Canada's long-standing Comedy Folk Trios, the Arrogant Worms invited me to develop their website back in the mid-1990's. The original Wormsite was built using hand crafted HTML using the efficiency of <frame> architecture. Since then, the site has been through MANY variations and I've now landed on the convenience and simplicity of Google Sites.
It allows for speedy development, collaboration with the clients, and robust embedded features like videos and 3rd party storefronts.
The formatting of the Wormsite also automatically adapts to the device that users view it on, be it desktop or mobile devices.
This is a local folk band performing in the Ottawa Valley. The current website is authored using WordPress, but the band is finding it complex, and challenging to keep updated. I've proposed this rebuild to be much easier for the group members to maintain, and also avoids the hosting charges required with WordPress sites.
The site changeover is due in early 2026
Serving the community of retired education workers, the ERAO was previously known as OPERA in the Ottawa area. The current website is based on a proprietary authoring platform, and the owner of that system is ready to retire it.
I developed this rebuild to emulate the functionality of the original. It may be adopted in early 2026
The second oldest client in my website portfolio would have to be the CRMF. This organization hosts over one hundred performances by Concert bands, Jazz ensembles and Choral groups each year. Originally, performance registrations and schedules were all processed and presented on paper. I introduced the organization to online forms in the early 2000's, and designed the website to act as a hub for the planning as well as the promotion of the yearly events!
New to my website portfolio is this long-established Choral group that I joined with my wife in 2024. They had already been using a Google site for presenting and archiving their activities, but it had fallen into disuse during Covid. When they asked for a revamp, I used it as another challenge to develop their brand, and allow the website to function as a more effective promotional and organizational tool.
With features like live streaming viewing during concerts, pages for the distribution of learning materials, the website is providing more functionality to the organization than ever.
To provide an added layer of privacy, websites can harness the resources of Google Workspaces to allow visbility and access only to registered users. This site consolidates easy to access membership rosters and email addresses, messages, inventory and copywritten learning materials. The site is easy to access for members, but hidden from the public.
